No, at this time, both Korea National Health Insurance and private Korean insurance companies do not cover mental health services in mental health center. They only cover services with medical doctors.

Yes. We can direct bill your insurance companies on your behalf if your insurance company’s policy allows it. To set up direct billing, please contact our center.

We are sorry, but our services are only available if you reside in Korea.

Services & Appointments

Asana Counseling Center mainly offers psychotherapy, ABA therapies, and individual and couples counseling. We will be offering more services in the future and will update our website as we expand our services. 

Yes, we offer online sessions for clients who prefer remote sessions or are unable to visit our center in-person. Online therapy sessions are conducted securely through a HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Our therapists are licensed mental health professionals with advanced degrees in counseling, psychology, or a related field. Yes, confidentiality is a priority in our counseling center. We adhere to strict professional standards and legal guidelines to protect your privacy. Information shared during sessions is kept confidential unless there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

The number of sessions varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some clients find benefits from short-term counseling, while others may engage in longer-term therapy. Your therapist will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan and discuss the expected duration.

A session typically lasts around 55 minutes. The duration may vary depending on the therapy type and therapist.

During your first session, your therapist will gather information about your concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. This initial session serves as an opportunity to establish rapport, discuss confidentiality, and develop a collaborative treatment plan.

To schedule an initial therapy session, you can call us during business hours or email us. Our staff will guide you through the process and assist you in finding a suitable time for your first session. We understand that taking the first step can be daunting, and we're here to make it as smooth and convenient as possible. Don't hesitate to reach out, and we'll be happy to help you schedule your first therapy session. 

To schedule further sessions, you can directly schedule with your therapist during your session, or you can also visit our online portal to submit a session scheduling request. Alternatively, you may also contact our Center Administrators via phone or email, and they will assist you in finding a suitable time for your next session.

Our counseling center operates on an appointment-based system, and we encourage clients to schedule appointments in advance. Walk-in appointments are not available due to our scheduling commitments and therapist availabilities.

Emergency Services & Medication

As per Korean law, medications can only be prescribed by psychiatrists and other medical doctors. As we do not have a medical doctor on staff, we are unfortunately unable to prescribe medication. 

We are unable provide emergency services. In case of an emergency, please follow the steps below.
